MEETING MINUTES - 3/10/88
PRESENT: Bill Fitzgerald, Chairman, Ray Flynn, Vice Chairman
Pat Flynn, Nancy Cannalonga, Jean Coates, Mary Ann McKenna,
Dawn McKenna, Dawn Dziokonski, Marilyn McWeeney, Charlie Hyde
ABSENT Jerry Hagerty, Bob Jackson, Paul Jenkins, Karen Gaughan

Chairman Bill called the meeting to order at 7 35 p.m. MOTION was made
and seconded to accept the Minutes of 2/25/88, as presented. MOTION was
next made and seconded to accept the Minutes of 3/3/88, as presented
PATRIOTS' DAY- UPDATES & REPORTS
Bill - LFD Honor Guard will participate in a m parade, as well as p.m parade
Pat - Pease AFB Band is still up in the air, at least for another month.
Dawn McKenna - Antique car (with driver) will be in parade
- Gov Dukakis's schedule is tentative, until April 1st.
Marilyn - Press releases published in Lexington Minute-Man.
- Jeff Leonard is looking for someone else for "Spirit "
Charlie - Has had one reply - from Grace Chapel (to give "Oath") .
Nancy - New float application - "LEXINGTON COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND"-Civic
Division - 24' long
Jerry (via Bill) - Has 66 banner bearers (mostly from Little League)
Ray - Weekly update of band applications, acceptance of units.
Bill - Has not yet been contacted by LHS Senior Class President, with his
list of aides for a m parade.
Chairman Bill welcomed Jim Hart and Charlie Grossimon of Lexington Minutemen
The morning schedule for April 18th was reviewed• 5 30 a m. - Old Belfry
Bell Ringing, 6 a m. - Reenactment; 7:30 a.m -Youth Parade; 8 30 a m. -
Ceremonies on the Battlegreen; 10.15 a m. - D.A.R. & LMM Memorial Ceremony;
11 a.m - Dedication of USS LEXINGTON plaques.
Jim Hart requested that the bus originally scheduled to depart the Kennedy
School (St. Brigid's) to the head of the 2 p m. Parade be changed to depart
from Meriam Street Bill will work out arrangements with LPD.
A preliminary 1988 Roster was drafted, using 1987's as an outline The
Roster for the Second Division - (Shriners) will be here next week

Dawn Dziokonski - Three floats are available, if TCC accepts. They are
(1) USS WASP [out of Worcester Reserve Command] , (2) USS CONSTITUTION
model, (3) F-16 MODEL (Recruiting)
After discussion, and before any decision is made, Dawn will get
further information regarding actual costs (? $ donations)
INVITATIONS - Status
Jean - Invitations have been sent to Senators Kennedy, Kerry; Congressman
Markey and British Consul General Also, Vice President Bush
Pat - Invitations have been sent to Lt. Gen. Chubb and Col Seifert-HAFB,
Maj . Gen. Skaff (Ft. Devens) . He is waiting for guest list from
HAFB (from Lt. Clark-Public Relations)
Dawn McKenna - Sending out State VIPs, as well as to Tip O'Neill
Marion - Will send to local officials
