MEETING MINUTES - 4/13/89
PRESENT. Bill Fitzgerald, Chairman, Pat Flynn, 1st Vice Chairman,
Ray Flynn, 2nd Vice Chairman, Bob Jackson, Adrienne Della
Penna, Charles Hyde, John Hayden, Jean Coates, Dawn McKenna,
Paul Jenkins, Marilyn McWeeney
Guests: Paul Rouillard, George Gabriel, Dawn Dzjokonski, Mark
Suffredini
Chairman Bill called the meeting to order at 8 00 p m. The minutes of
4/6/89 were accepted as amended.
PATRIOT'S DAY UPDATE.
Pat went over the entire roster and inserted the new units.
There will be a television unit from Florida at the days activities
interviewing the recepients of the White Tricorn hat, youth awards. The
Lexington Lions Club and Dick Michelson will also be interviewed. They
will be roaming with camera throughout the parade
Sandra and George Amarant will be broadcasting for Lexington Cable
General Patton's son will be in the parade
We have received very strong support from the base this year
REVIEWING STAND POSITIONING. On the LEFT Dignitaries from HAFB.
Selectmen, Town Manager and Mrs. Battin. ROTC Col Melson (MIT)
On the RIGHT SIDE. DAR.
Boonton H.S. Band in front of stands.
The Boonton Band is expected to arrive at Days Inn on Sat. Night between 5
- 6 p.m. Anyone who would like to greet them with Bill is most welcome
The secretary left the meeting to meet with Lexington High School Senior
class president Mark Suffredini Minutes taken by Jean Coates.
Minutes continued:
The committee will meet on Patriots morning at 5 00 a.m. in front of the
reviewing stand.
Assignments: Charlie and Ray ----Press area
John, Marilyn and Bob --- Buckman Tavern area.
Jean --- wleP1cha&r rea on Bedford St.
When the L11 come out of Tavern we need to give the Public Works Dept.
men some help.
Cary Library --- Bob will have refreshments set up No one is allowed up
the walkway of the Library except invited guests.
Procer^.ire for the Memorial Service was reviewed by Bill
Paul, Charlie and John will•meet on Saturday
John will be in charge of picking up banners at end of parade route.
The meeting ADJOURNED at 10.10 p.m with all looking forward to a
beautiful Patriot's Day 1989
