HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-12-07-TCC-min.pdf TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES - 12/7/89 PRESENT Bill Fitzgerald, Pat Flynn, 1st Vice Chairman, Ray Flynn, 2nd Vice Chairman, Dawn McKenna, John Hayden, Bob Jackson, Jean Coates, Walter Ellis, Eric Carlson Chairman, Bill Fitzgerald called the meeting to order at 8 05 p m Bill welcomed Eric and Walter as sub-committee members. Bill wanted us all to be aware that members of the sub-committee will no longer be allowed to vote, but may of course, offer an opinion on any vote If you can not attend a meeting, please be sure to let Pat, Ray, or Bill know Letters of thank you went out for Veteran's Day Sudbury women will be bringing a stage coach, with horses and two hitches to the Patriot's Day Parade this year Hallomore has reserved the Clydesdales for the parade We will contact Wilson's for the unload and hook-up of the horses At the end of the parade the horses should load at the tennis courts Youth Parade was again voted to be included in the Patriot's Day celebrations beginning at 7 30 a m The Minutemen will do battle at the same time The rest of the morning of the 19th will be the same as last year, except it was decided that the Memorial Service for the IJ S S Lexington will be held at 11 00 a m instead of 11 30 a in We are hoping to have Admiral Donovan and the Captain of the U S S Lexington for the ceremonies Ray indicated that the mailings had started to be sent out, with 20 to 25 of tnem already sent He also reported that the Holy Name Band is defunct, and St Therea's is also unavailable Bob reported that he again had to rewrited to Hanscom requesting the 94tn AirComm for Patriot's Day
