Staff: Koren Stembridge, Laura Bernheim, Susan Lusk, Kate Leppanen, Jae Johns, Alissa Lauzon, Cathie Ghorbani, Michelle Techler Friends: Ethie Slate Public Comment – none Secretary’s Minutes – December 5, 2024 Executive Board Meeting. Motion to approve by Jill Hai; second, Joe Pato. Approved, Unanimous. Administrative Updates  Director’s Report th  The Library has been asked to host a lunch for special guests attending the 250 celebrations on Saturday, April 19, 2025.  The Library staff was asked to coordinate the Ken Burns event at Cary Hall on 4/17/25.  Resume evening hours to 9 pm starting 4/28/25.  Michelle Techler hosting teen after hours event just for Library Leadership Council on 5/2/25.  Lower Level renovation project update  Project remains on time and on budget. Tentative re-opening date of 9/13/25. New Business  Patron Privacy Policy (vote)  Michelle Techler, Jae Johns, and Kate Leppanen presented the revised Patron Privacy Policy. Move to approve by Jill Hai, second, Eileen Jay. Approved, Unanimous.  Early closure on 4/18 (vote). Motion to approve by Jill Hai, second, Barbara Callaghan. Approved, Unanimous. Old Business  Additional capital needs – discussion th  A list of additional Main Level capital needs will be presented at the May 7 meeting.  Progress update on “settled clergy” conversation  Conversations continue with members of the Lexington Interfaith Community Association about their role as the body to select members for the Library’s Executive Board. Koren Stembridge and Jill Hai will be attending a LICA meeting directly following today’s meeting to answer their questions. HDC nominations  Historic District Commission – Library Appointees  JP was asked to convene a subgroup of library trustees to identify individuals who could be recommended to the Select Board to serve on the Historic Districts Commission. This group will look at applications from interested parties and recommend candidates at the May 7, 2025 Executive Board meeting. Foundation  Library Foundation Development Director Search  Liz O'Neil said Foundation has identified a potential director. Formal announcement soon.
