HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-10-19-SSCC-min.pdf Minutes of School Sites Conversion Committee Meeting - October 19, 1978 The meeting was called to order at 7 30 p.m. Those present were Mr. Brown, Mrs. Wheaton, Mrs. Miley, Mr Spencer, Mr Hutchinson, and Mr Fields. Motion was made to go into Executive Session for the purposes of discussion to consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of Town property. It was VOTED 6-0 by roll call vote to go into Executive Session with no intention of resuming open session The Committee reviewed 17 proposals and voted to interview the following proposals HOUSING: 1 Antonell Associates 2. Housing Innovations/Barkan 3 Gaudreau & Co 4 Sidney & Noyes 5. Lexington Interfaith 6. Community Planning & Dev. Assoc 7. McNeil & Associates 8 Monacelli 9. Lexington Green Associates 10 Urban Design Team OFFICE 1. Monacelli 2. Lexington Investment & Development Co. 3. Rath & Strong 4. Antonell Associates This involves 12 developers with 14 proposals - 10 housing and 4 office The Committee, agreed to schedule the interviews on November 1, 8 r 9 and 11 (if necessary) . The principals will be contacted so those who have combined housing and office proposals would be on the same night as those who have regular office proposals. Proposals rejected were: 1. Tofias & Co (office) 2. Benjamin Cohen & Sons (office) 3. Kendall, Taylor (luxury condos) 4. Elgin Associates (3 proposals) (1 school) 5. DiNesco/Mico Realty (housing) Mr Brown registered a dissent regarding the rejection of Benjamin Cohen & Sons and DiNesco/Mico Realty as there were local people involved and he felt they should be seen.
