Battin, Chairman DA7$ November 9, 1984 FROM.' Board of Selectmen SUBJECT Green Lane Eric Clarke, Acting Chairman Traffic Safety Advisory CommitteeQ z13 Committee Members presents Eric Clarke, Acting Chairman Robert Bowyer, Planning. Director John W. Maloney _ William P. Mix Sgt. Robert Hickey, Police Department On November 7, 1984, the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee continued its September 12, 19E discussion of Safety matters concerning Green Lane, brought to its attention by a June 25, 1984 letter to the Selectmen, from Mr. and Mrs, Nardelli and local residents This letter complained about speeding along Green Lane. The Committee concluded that the cause of the problem was probably one resident's actions and recommended that the police interview this family. It was opposed to the installation of speed bumps, but recommended that the Park Department inspect the shrubbery along the street to see if its exuberant growth could be curbed, especially near a sign at the intersection of Green Lane and Watertown Street indicating Green Lane as a "No Thru Way. The November 7, 1984 discussion was initiated because it had not been realized that Green Lane is an unaccepted Street and, therefore, beyond the jurisdiction of the of the D.P.W However, part of the right of way abuts town owned land (Bowman Park) and to this extent can be cleared by the Town. The Committee reaffirmed its earlier conch sions to the extent possible. ccs Peter M. Chalpin, Chairman Robert Bowyer, John W. 41aloney William P. Mix Sgt. Robert Hickey Robert M.
