Absent: Glen Bassett, co-chair; Sondra Lucente; Karen Tyler, Veterans Liaison. Honorary: Robert Tracey. Quorum: 7Fu11 Members. Subcommittee Members Present (15 members, 5 vacancies): Sudha Balasuryan, Bonnie Karshbaum, Briana Karshbaum, Gresh Lattimore, Jaime Lee, Ashley Rooney, Pam Winters, Hong Xie. Absent: Steve Cole, Mirela Vaso, Perla Walling-Sotolong, Huma Wasim. Guests: None. 7:03 PM: Geetha called the meeting to order. 7:04 PM: Minutes for March 5 and March12, 2025, were both tabled for the next meeting. 7:07 PM: Dave becomes Meeting Host. Patriots' Day Parade. - Dave, Cerise, Dave Grilik / CoVentures, and Suzie Barry are meeting weekly regarding Parade details. - The End of the Parade will be clearly marked to avoid confusion. - TCC cars: still await the definitive number attending; the Grand Marshal will be driven in a new $400,000 Bentley! - Two new applications have been received. One was denied. The Little League of Lexington will march since its early application was lost in our online system. - Four Dance Groups / Jaimie: Still discussing where to do their dances and for how long to dance; 10 minutes each is suggested. Then possibly enter the Parade? - Publicity / Ashley: NBC / Malcolm Johnson will be at Cary Hall; Media will be at Fletcher Park. NBC will interview Grand Marshal, Charlie Price. Ashley wrote an article about Charlie which has been sent to NBC. - Ambassadors (banner bearers) / Yifang and Hong: With 50 Sponsors signed up, we'll need at least 100 Ambassadors; to date only 15 have signed up. Linda is reaching out to local churches and their youth groups; Pam has notified the PTOs. There was much discussion about using various software apps for communication. - Sponsors / Lorain: 50 sponsors are in hand, thus the $44,000 fees in hand exceed our collection goal. Banners are especially needed for the Titanium Sponsor and Platinum Sponsors: Omar's World of Comics (2 banners) and the Chamber of Commerce. Poles may be purchased at Home Depot. Photos will be taken of each Sponsor Banner. - Vehicles / Dave: Vehicle credentialing is the responsibility of TCC. A list will ultimately be given to the Police. All volunteers must wear an ID card, including TCC members, and Unit Leaders. TCC will hold an April 5 Volunteer Training Event. - W9s for payment / Lorain: only one still out. - Special instructions / Dave: These are for units with horses, float guidelines, and Unit Leaders. Linda needs ID for the float judges. - Lex250 / Cerise: TCC members need not be available after the Parade has ended. All must sign -in at either Maple St / Mass Ave at the gas station or Pleasant St at Waldorf School. Other Business: None. 8:25 PM: Meeting Adjourned. NEXT MEETING: March 26, 2025.
