The committee met in Midsummer to respond to a request that the
feasibility of holding both a mor~;hi.ng and an afternoon parade -on
.'a't:riots Pay, 1975, be carefully ex mined.. Those committee Meth—

noted 'that while -groups marching lth the centennial Legi•cu would

the 'morning arode and thus, the v. 00 of the f tesneen ,parade she-old
be i:imlier than when both modern and historic units are interspersed'.
It was suggested, :hoh• ever, that the af-ternoon parade might ?keit be
scheduled for 2 30 in order to allot: time for arrival of any gues=ts
oi' marching units coning from Concord
Parade routes, eld and net•y -ere discussed. it i;ss felt. tint the
Centennial Legion might follow the route from Adams „clhbol along
Massachusetts nvdnuo. The afternoon parade should. follow the
route est. bltshed in 1973
There was a general discussion, oi events now regularly scheduled
during the Patriots Pay weeltenu The committee agreed to recommend
most strongly to the Lexington Picerztenn. 1 Committee that the
traditional ,, outh s':na ise jic.rade be held at the beginning of the
Bicentennial h.eehentl, p crosibl;f' Friday morning
The committee also met on September fig 1973. tl'oclever most tinn—
