May 17, 1973
Present Mr Lord, Acting Chairman, Mr Brenchick, Mrs Litchfield, Mr Gaughan,

Memorial Day
Mrs Litchfield read a letter from Mr Kenney, Chairman of the Board of j
Selectmen, accepting our invitation to read the Governor's Proclamation
at the Memorial Day Services on the Green He also stated that members
of the Board were planning to march in the parade
Mrs Litchfield will write a letter to Walter O'Connell requesting the
speakers stand for Memorial Day
T C C received a letter from Hanscom AFB stating they will not send a
marching unit or Coror Guard for the Memorial Day parade
Mrs Litchfield will write to the VFW urging they send a marching unit
and color guard for the Memorial Day parade
The roster for Memorial Day was completed We will try to have it
ready for mailing on Tuesday
Mrs Litchfield will write to Mr O'Connell regarding the opening of
Cary Hall for Memorial Day services in case of bad weather
Patriots Day
Mr Lord read a letter from Mr George Dandy, head custodian at the
High School with suggestions for improvements in using the High
School for future Patriots Day activities
The Committee discussed using Cary Hall next year for the Patriot's
Day luncheon and reception
Mr Fitzgerald suggested asking Mr O'Connell if it would be possible
to use the secretarial pool for typing our parade rosters and running
them off
The next meeting of the T=X=X= will be Thursday, May 31, 1973, at 7. 30 p.m
in room G-15
