Dailey, Jr. Fleepo The Clown PATRIOTS DAY We have received acceptances from the following people to be our guests on Patriots Day: Senator Saltonstall (will let us know a week prior to the day) Commandant 6 Mrs. Rumble, and Aide Lt. Smith Senator and Mrs. Ronald C. McKenzie Col. and Mrs. Pearson, Ft. Devens Col, and Mrs Moran, Comdr , Air Force Cambridge Research Labs (General Vartanian, Adj Gen., Commonwealth of Massachusetts has had to decline.) The following groups will march in our afternoon parade. Gloucester ROTC Band, Drill Team, Grenadiers and Color Guard Boston First Naval District Band Happy Toes Square Dancers and Fleepo The Clown Color Guard Detail, First Naval District, Boston Color Guard Detail, First Naval District, Boston Marine Barracks (Mrs. Litchfield will call to arrange their transportation) C1 J.A.G. Naval Reserve Corps, Boston Cub Scouts, Haverhill, Pack #36 (50 boys) (Transportation supplied by V.P W ) (Aleppo Temple will not be sending their Brass Band) Mrs. Litchfield will invite The Leathernecks Drill Team of Malden to march in the afternoon parade. She will also ask Neil Cronin of the Parade Advisory Committee to meet with our Committee neat week (March 29th) to firm up the PM roster. Re will be asked to invite any other P.A.C. members to meet with us at that time. Mrs Litchfield will contact Ruth Leiby to obtain the number of Girl Scouts who will be available as Aides for the PM parade. Mr. Fitzgerald will make arrangements to have Cary Hall open for any of our guests on the afternoon of April 16th. A letter from the Ashland Recreation Department to our Recreation Department asking about arranging for Ashland Senior Citizens to attend our Patriots Day feastivities, luncheon facilities, etc. will be referred to Mr. Melbys, President, Lexington Senior Citizens Mr. William P Brenchick, Jr will be Chief Marshal of the Sunrise Parade. He will contact the Lexington Squadron of Sea Scouts for a flag detail for the program on the Green following the parade. USS LEXINGTON: The Committee received a letter from Mr. Turcotte asking that we coordinate a memorial program for the CV-2 Unit members to take place on Sunday, May 6th at 2pm on the Green.
