C PRESENT: Mr. Barnes, Mr. 'Gaughan, 'Mrs Litchfield, Mrs Reed, Mr Lord,
Mr Brenchick and Mrs. Hall.
VISITOR. 2nd Lt. Norman Daigle
Lexington Minutemen
PATRIOTS DAY
Mr. Daigle met with our Committee at our request to go over problems and
suggestions concerning our parade(s). Three points were stressed to
Mr Daigle as follows (1) there should be a limit on the number of people
to be invited to march; (2) there should be no gaps between marching units
in the parade; (3) our 120-paces-per-minute-cadence must be kept, if any
Minute Man Companies want to be invited back to march in 1974 and 1975.
This cadence is right in our Parade ORDERS and it is mandatory that these
orders be followed. *
Mr. Daigle was given a copy of the new parade route (3-1/2 miles long) and
he was asked to notify all invited Minute Man Companies of this change.
Mr. Gaughan and Mr. Brenchick will carefully check out areas for parking
buses and exit routes after the parade ends. Parking areas could encompass
the Grace Chapel, St. Brigid's, and First National parking lots, plus others
Mr. Daigle was told that their re-enactment of the Battle of Lexington is
scheduled for 5:30am on April 16th on the Green.

marching unit list. Mrs. Litchfield will write to the following groups
inviting them to participate in our parade
