Applications to HUD for 1971 Articles A letter from Robert Bowyer
to the Board of Selectmen and other Town officialsy, osatd that there

Turning. Mill Area Mrs Rawls agreed to be Commission contact on
this. Mr. Friedman reported that Mrs Slowey of the Burlington
Conservation Commission said it would be unlikely her Town would
buy any of that land for Conservation, since the land is zoned
industrial , expensive and not in their original plans They
are approaching owners with suggestions that they give conserva-
tion easements in exchange for tax abatements. Any private money
or suggestions from Lexington citizens or officials would be of
help (referring to statement made at Turning Mill meeting that
abutters would put up money) . Planning Boards should be in contact.
An area meeting will be held at the Estabrook School tomorrow
