Mrs. Goldberg said she had been talking with Norman Cousins of the DNR, who spoke with Commissioner Brownell. The DNR has offered to make a "determination of suitability" .; (for building) of the Cleamatis Brook Village area in 3 to 5 days, if requested by a Town official body. Mr. Brown said he will get in touch with the DNR and request such a study a as soon as possible, since this information would beivaluable to present to Town Meeting. Mrs. Goldberg said that the Army Corps of Engineers had been Jo in touch with Rep. Brad Morse about the flooding problems along Beaver Brook farther downstream (name changed when 1 Brook reaches Belmont) . Mr. Brown said it was his under.. , standing that the flood plain area begins on the other side 1 of Concord Ave. and that farther upstream is designated "headwaters" and not under the jurisdiction of the Army Corps of Engineers.
