The meeting was called to order in the Planning Board office by the Chairman Mr. 8•own, with Mr. Cohen, Mrs. Frick and Dr. Kassler present. Also present were Ex-Officio Member Mr. Mazerall, Associate Members Friedman, Nichols, Reiner and Solomon and visitor Frank Sandy. 1 Mr. Brown introduced newly-appointed Commission member Norman P. Cohen, of 56 Coolidge Ave. , 862-3098. Office Palmer & Dodge, 28 State Street, 227-4400. Minutes of the August 9 Commission meeting were approved as submitted. Notes of the unofficial meeting of the Commission on August 16, fol- nng the Board of Selectmen' s meeting with Mr. Cousins of DNR, were approved, with the following correction: the first sentence should Par begin with the words, "Mr. McSweeney said that. . ." and the second sentence of that paragraph should end with the words, "he said." 1970 Articles Acauisitions. According to Mr. Brown, all options have been exercised, and the Town is apparently planning to borrow money to complete the purchases (Drummer Boy, Wilson, Frissore and Soule) . Mr. Brown also reported that the DNR is lacking a map showing all three parcels. Mrs. Greene will sent them an additional copy of the map originally sent with the applications Nos. 17 & 18. Mr. Friedman reported that a water pipe burst or collapsed underneath Eldred Street and that a section of the roadway had been washed out. He noted that this is not the first occurrence of this sort in the area. Format of Chart to aid the Commission and their Secretary to keep abreast of progress of acquisition and reimbursement of all open articles was approved by Commission members, with the addition of DNR application numbers. The Secretary will prepare the note-book- sized chart in the next few weeks, with the assistance of Mr. Friedman. Bill approvals were voted for the following outstanding bills: $10.00 for envelope imprinting for the mailing of the Great Meadow Study Report Summary (from Great Meadow Shdy appropriation article) $7.84 For paper purchased through the Engineering Department for Assessors' map sets printed by the Commission. $48.12 For Secretary's services for month of August (latter two items from 1971 Article 4 Operating Budget) Following an executive session, declared at 8 50 p.m. , the meeting adjourned at 10 45 p.m. until 8 00 p.m. September 13 with the Plan- ning Board.
