The meeting was called to order by the Chairman Mr. Brown at 8 00 p m , with Messrs .Mazerall and Smith and Mrs. Frick present and visitor Don Deily. Minutes of the August 11 meeting were approved OSA-60. VOTED to submit partial Requisition for Grant for Advent Christian Church, Chandler, Kingston Homes , Steeves and Modoono. The latter two were added to the list this evening, since their purchase was completed August 14 Sickle Brook. As in previous summers, the brook water is now impounded on the Wilson Farm for watering crops. This was ob- served by the Town Engineer. Because of the dry season, the brook is dry downstream It was agreed that no changes in the situation should be attempted because 1) The Great Meadow has been. similarly affected each summer; 2 ) release of the water now might adversely affect the Great Meadow Study and 3) other farmers also dam streams for water supply. Commission members felt there was little value in guaging the water upstream Mrs Frick will notify Mr. Lopez of the situation Mr. O' Con- nell , Town Manager, was present during this discussion and con- curred Land Filling The Commission received by certified mail a copy of a letter from K.L. Jordan to the Board of Health questioning n, the filling of land by their neighbor A letter will be sent j Dr. and Mrs. Jordan recommending they notify the DNR Deeds Clause Mr Smith and Mr O' Connell will meet with the DNR on this tomorrow morning.
