CONSERVATION COMMISSION
MINUTES of July 27 Commission meeting (1970) .
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman Mr. Brown,
with Dr. Kassler and Mr. Smith also present
Great Meadow. Dr. Kassler read a letter Dr. Meyer had composed
to go to Camp, Dresser & McKee. Agreed parts of it were inap-
propriate and others legitimate complaints. Mrs . Frick will
attend a meeting with Dr. Meyer & C.D. & McK. The July 1
bill covering work from May 24 through most of June was for
$203.15 (Lexington share) . Approval VOTED.
Letters received
From Mr. Heustis to the Jefferson Union Co. (a copy)
concerning oil leakage discovered on their premises,
requesting they advise the Board of Health of their
plans to abate this drainage problem.
From the State PesticiceBoard about present and future
restrictions on the use of pesticides.
Copy of a letter from Manfred Friedman to Mr. Burke
about the possibility and benefits of separate paper
collection at the dump.
From Frank Sandy about possible conflicts of conservation
and housing interests in the Meagherville area
Hunting Safety Committee. Dr. Kassler agreed to become the
Conservation Commission representative on this committee.
Ad Hoc Liason Committee with Recreation Committee. Mrs. Frick
will be asked to serve.
AGREED that the Commission should meet weekly during the month
of August: Mondays, 3rd, 17th, 24th and 31st and Tuesday, the
11th, to which Mr. OtConnell will be invited.
The meeting adjourned at 10 20 p.m.
