HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-04-15-LCC-min.pdf MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE LEXINGTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION APRIL 15, 1965 The meeting was called to order at 8 30 in the Police Assembly Room of the Town Offices. The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as circulated. Unsuccessful attempts were made to reach Mr. Garrity to inform him of the meeting. In response to a request from the neighborhood, the Commission met with a landowner. Thereafter more than a dozen residents of Woodhaven presented the Commission with a petition calling attention to the desirability of retaining in public ownership lands owned by Hinds, DeGundio, and the Valleyfield Trust. The Commission is taking further action on the latter matter. Mr. Sussman will consult with the Soil Conservation Service re the integration of the natural resources inventory into the long- range plan. Mr. Sussman will contact the League of Women Voters with our recommendations as to further land use projects. The other members of the Commission congratulated Mr. Sussman on his nomination for a position on the 'Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions. The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for Thursday, April 29, 1965 at B p.m. in the Town Offices. The meeting adjourned at 12 45 a.m. Respectfully submitted, G L Stephen F.
