THE LEXINGTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION
APRIL 15, 1965
The meeting was called to order at 8 30 in the Police Assembly
Room of the Town Offices. The minutes of the last meeting were
accepted as circulated. Unsuccessful attempts were made to reach
Mr. Garrity to inform him of the meeting.
In response to a request from the neighborhood, the Commission
met with a landowner. Thereafter more than a dozen residents of
Woodhaven presented the Commission with a petition calling attention
to the desirability of retaining in public ownership lands owned by
Hinds, DeGundio, and the Valleyfield Trust. The Commission is taking
further action on the latter matter.
Mr. Sussman will consult with the Soil Conservation Service re
the integration of the natural resources inventory into the long-
range plan.
Mr. Sussman will contact the League of Women Voters with our
recommendations as to further land use projects.
The other members of the Commission congratulated Mr. Sussman
on his nomination for a position on the 'Board of Directors of the
Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for Thursday,
April 29, 1965 at B p.m. in the Town Offices. The meeting adjourned
at 12 45 a.m.
