Wednesday, 30 December, 1964 Place: Twwn Accountant's Office Present : All members Mr. Sussman opened the meeting at 8:20 p.m. Old Business 1. Swenson Farm: Mr. Richey moved to confirm the Commission's earlier action to present an option to Mr. A. Cataldo to purchase the property known as the Swenson Farm, parcels A and B, for the sum of $230,000. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. It was further decided that Mr. Sussman would send to Mr. Cataldo a letter informing him of the Commission's agreement to accept the option and to proceed further in the matter; the letter would also thank him. Mr. Sussman was asked glso to send a letter to the Selectmen requesting that a place on the Warrant be held open for an article to purchase the aforesaid property and expressing a desire to meet as soon as possible to discuss these articles with them. - Mr. Sussman stated that he will talk to Natural Resources about an appraisal of the land. It was moved and passed that Mr. Sussman immediately send in applications to State and federal agencies for aid. New Business 1. A landowner came, at the Commission's request, to discuss the possibility of Town acquisition of, or conservation easement on, t e property he owns, which connects two large Town-owne arcels. 2. Action creating the steering ctt--ems for the Natural Resources inventory was postponed until the next meeting.-- 3. It was agreed that an appraiser would be contacted for the ra reel which has been under negotiation in East Lexington. • Next meeting on Thursday, '7 January, 1965, 8 :00p.m. Adjournment 11 :;5 p.m. H Relman Acting Secretary
