Votes: December meeting minutes approved unanimously by voice vote. 2. Reports/Updates: ● Bobak has an acquaintance who is potentially interested in joining the GCC. They have been invited to attend an upcoming meeting to see more about what the Committee does. ● Keith, Bobak, and Mike all attended the December 19 MAGIC conference, in Concord, organized by David Lautzenheiser. It was primarily bike-focused, but interesting to see what other towns are working on. ● The Community Preservation Committee has approved going forward with funding requests for planning & engineering for both the Community Center Connector trail to Cotton Farm, and the trail rerouting project at the end of Rangeway. These proposals will go before Town Meeting in March for a vote to approve the funds. 3. Ongoing Business ● Line of March ACROSS route proposal - This project has been approved by the Select Board, and the Historic Districts Commission is now doing the final permissions. Keith had a prototype of a directional sign, by Jon Sachs. There was lengthy discussion on the sign images, layout, and wording. We decided to emphasize the 250 logo over the ACROSS logo, and use BATTLE ROAD instead of LINE OF MARCH. It should also say British Regulars, rather than just British, since all involved in the event were British subjects at the time. ● Review of current route development projects: - Proposed Bowman Park path (Route Q) - Karen Mullins has given a verbal general approval of the proposed trail realignment required to avoid the wetland. Tis will require about 100’ of boardwalk to be built, which is estimated to cost under $3000. There was discussion of how to best stage the project, but more importantly, where funds would come from. Part of this trail segment is under Recreation jurisdiction, so they may be able to pay for it. It will be on the Recreation Committee February agenda. If there is no money available there, funds might be found from the Waterstone fund, or from the ACROSS Lexington Trust. The first step is to file an RDA to get a permit to do the work. Mike and Stephen will work on that. - Proposed Route 8/Concord Avenue - This project will be on hold until 2026, as the Land Management Plan is yet to be approved and the crosswalk issue resolved. - Proposed Rte 22/Solomon Pierce Connector (Route I) - The Arlington ConCom has given initial approval for this project. The hope is to have the Town Manager approve it administratively, but otherwise it will need to be approved by the Arlington Select Board. Mike will nudge his Arlington contact to find out where this stands. Once permission is obtained from Town of Arlington we will need to walk the trail segment with Karen Mullens and obtain permission from Lexington Conservation Dept. ● Destination Sign Project - (on hold) ● Brochure Reprinting Options – Bobak has a good photo for when we re-do the brochure. No decision was made as to whether we should reprint the brochure as-is, or add Routes I and Q as “planned” or “proposed”. ● Facebook Page – Daisy has a meeting scheduled with Jonas, and will be working on the new site. 4. New Business ● none at this time 5. Adjourned at 5:40pm by unanimous voice vote.
