Open Session Minutes
September 19, 2023
A meeting of the Lexington Board of Assessors was called to order at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in the Parker Meeting
Room, Town Office Building. Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, and Casimir Groblewski, Member, were present as
well as Robert F. Lent, Director of Assessing, Michael E. Golden, Assistant Director of Assessing and Sandra Pentedemos, Administrative
Assessor.
Open Session
Public Comment Time: None present.
Mr. Lent updated the Board with appraisal services being performed for Watertown Street properties, along with 1050 Waltham Street.
VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to adjourn the Open Session of the meeting at
4:15 p.m. to enter into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to deliberate Fiscal Year 2023 Statutory Exemptions, Real Estate
Abatement Applications and Personal Property Abatements. Further it was declared that an open meeting discussion may have a detrimental
effect on the litigation position of the town.
The Board reconvened Open Session at 5:45 p.m.
VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to deny the request for Fiscal Year 2023
Supplemental Real Estate Abatement.
The Fiscal Year 2024 Recreational Chapter Land application for #55 Allen Street is deem denied. No actions were made.
There were no Fiscal Year 2023 Chapter 59, Section 5 Various Statutory Exemption Applications.
There were no Fiscal Year 2023 Personal Property Abatement Applications.
There were no pending Appellate Tax Board actions to discuss. No decisions had to be made.
The Board postponed discussion of the Meeting Minutes.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 5:50 p.m. to adjourn the Meeting.
