HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-10-17-BOH-min.pdf BOARD CF HEALTH MEETING October 17, 1946 A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Thursday afternoon, October 17, 194b at 4:00 p.m. hr. D.cQuillan, Health Ihspector Lamont and the Clerk were present. Application was received from Edward Watson, 65 Reed Street for permission to keep 500 poultry and 3 swine. Mr. Lamont stated that this is a residential area and he recom- mended that the permit he denied Nir. Lamont reported that some of the cesspools being built in the Custom Built Homes development on Spring Street are only nine or ten feet from the house and the town laws require a distance of fifteen feet. The Clerk was instructed to write a letter advising the builder that the cesspools do not conform to the Plumbing Laws of the Town of Lexington and will not be approved by the Board of Health Letter was received from the State Board of Health relative to publicity for a Diphtheria pmmunization Program. A copy was sent to the School Nurse, School Physician and members of the Board of Health. Mr. IAcQuillan approved the expenditure of $10.00 for an advertisement promoting the Cancer Education Week to be held in November .
