Nancy Barter, John McGirr, Ron Marble, Tony Porter Guest Bea Phear The meeting started at 7 30 pm Tony was introduced to the other members of the Lexington youth Commission, and members spoke of LYC past achievements and future goals Nomination for officers of the LYC were voted then recorded for the 1983-84 year Nancy Barter - Chairman Tony Porter - Secretary Ron Marble - Treasurer John McGirr - Coordinator of students and applications Tony then showed an interest of bringing families, students together through sport events Tony will look into Hayden and speak to several sport celebreties over slrrier who may be interested in working on a tournement for volleyball, baseball, etc John McGirr spoke of applications being available in paper July and September for students to apply for LYC This will give the Commission time to interview and have students ready for LYC in September John McGirr (chair) , Tony and Ron will then look into the selection of students for the fall Bea brought up Student Government Day, and Nancy then mentioned that Town Officials were now aware of its future existence and were behind our project Chris Berner (student) and Nancy went to Selectmen's breakfast, Chris made the presentation of Student Government Day, and Chairman Jim Crain gave his approval to the project. *bre report on Student Government Day will take place in the fall Through the sc:Auler a sub-committee will be set up and Chris and John McGirr will be at the Lexington High School for students' input on projects '!eeting for September will be September 20th at 7 30 pm.
