Borghesanz, Edward Murray Bedford - Marietta P Ellis, Jerome J Pickett Lexington - William R. Whalon, Arnold B Briggs Lincoln - John B Wiles Waltham - Charles T Pheeney Weston - Jackson Wright The following representatives were absent Arlington - Charles Hughes Bedford - John K. Litchfield Concord - Robert B Lowe, Chester M. Howe, Ray F Sunstrom, Jr Lexington - Richard H. Soule Lincoln - Robert L. Allen, James T Foust Waltham - Joseph L. Houde, Joseph P Shea Weston - Peter A. Reiman, Alexander Jenkins In attendance also were Mr Norbert J Fredette (Whitman, Mass ), Mr Graham Litchfield (Hanson, Mass ), and Mr Douglas Benusan (Norwell, Mass ) who are members of the legal subcommittee of the North Plymouth County Regional Refuse Disposal Planning Committee The meeting was called to order by Chairman Charles Pheeney at 8:25 p m. The gentlemen from the North Plymouth County Regional Refuse Disposal Planning Committee were introduced by Chairman Pheeney to the Board members The minutes from both the April 15 and May 20 meetings were accepted as written. Bill Whalon of Lexington reported to the Board that the town's voters have appropriated the additional funds allotted regional refuse planning committee under the new legislation passed this year Mr Whalon in his report on the status of the draft of the legal agreement said it was not complete at the present time; but further stated that the legal committee will have it ready for the meeting of June 24, and in addition will send a copy of the prepared agreement in advance of the meeting to the Board members A review and discussion of the various provisions to be included in the legal agreement was conducted by Mr Whalen with the members of the Board making several suggestions as to the form these provisions should take • -2- MINUTES 6/10/69 In view of their helpful remarks in the legal agreement discussion, Chairman Pheeney thanked Mu Fredette, NI Litchfield, and Mr Benusan for attending the meeting and invited them to attend the June 24 meeting to par- ticipate in the study of the prepared draft of agreement An advance copy of the draft is to be sent to Mr Fredette Appointment of the July steering committee meeting members was set for the June 24 meeting of the Board The July meeting of the Board was set fot the 15th at Lincoln, Mass The August meeting of the Board •as set for the 19th at Concord, Mass The meeting adjourned at 9 33 p m, Respectfully submitted, Marietta P Ellis Secretary I
