A meeting of the Commission was held on 5 February 1959 in the
library of Muzzey Junior High School at 7 30 t M. Present were
Bernier, Christensen, Clarke, Earsy, Graham, Harding, Levingston,
McLeod, Riffin
A letter was read from Marilyn Gravis inviting members COMMUNI-
to attend a meeting at Temple Isaiah on Friday, Febru- CATIONS

REsponsibility in Housing "
A letter was read from Temple Scanlon stating that the
Lexington Housing Authority would study the Commission' s
proposal of 22 January 1969 and discuss it at their meeting
of 10 February
Minutes of the meeting of 22 January 1969 were corrected MINUTES
and approved
Mrs Christensen announced that 100 returned question- ANNOUNCE-
naires had so far been received and results are being MENTI
tabulated So far, very few school age children are
involved Mr Graham reported that questionnaires had QUESTION-
been distributed by hand on the employment express NAIRES
Mrs Christensen announced that an editorial by Mrs PUBLICITY
Hosken will appear in the Herald on Saturday or Sunday,
in which Lexington will be mentioned The Globe is
also planning an article on moderate-income housing
Mr Graham announced that Mr Cole had arranged a meeting HOUSING
of the Housing Task Force with PHA regional director
John Flynn.
Mr Graham introduced Bob Gustafson, a staff person from
Citizens Housing and Planning Association on loan to us
He also introduced Ed Workman, who is helping with re-
search and fact-finding; and Mr Green, Mr White ' s associSte
Mr. Harding announed that all parishes were now consider- INTER-
ing the proposal for an inter-faith, non-proat housing FAITH
corporation and that a meeting of the full Council of CORP
Churches will be held on 11 February to decide upon a
recommendation.
Mrs Christensen distributed copies of a draft fact sheet FACT
designed to be distributed publicly explaining moderate- SHEET
income housing and the White proposal After several
changes and additions were agreed to , it was VOTED unani-
mously• That the Housing Task Force having verified the
facts and indicated sources on the back, the LOSE sponsor
the Fact Sheet for distribution at the hearing and to Town
Meeting members
