MINUT}s$ of Commission m.:eting December 20, 19A9
The meeting was Called to order at 11: 15 a.m. , by the Chair-
man Mr. Brown, with Pairs. Frick and Messrs. Smith and Sussman
present.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved with the ad-
dition of the words "and assistance" following the Nord
"taxes", first line, paragraph three.
TMMA Warrant Info Meeting. Members on the whole pleased with
the way this went.
Prestejohn property. Pleasure expressed that the Commission
letter had some influence on the decision of the ,eleetmen and
that it was quoted in the Minute Man.
Open Articles (memos from Mr. Ferry) . These have been re-
solved. It was recommended that in the future the Conserva-
tion Fund, which should be invested, be lumped on one memo,
instead of piecemeal.
Status of Acquisitions. Preceding O.K . There followed a
little discussion on the differences of how the towns of
Lexington and Lincoln acquire their conservation lands, Mr.
Sussman mentioned the availability of assistance from the
Nature Conservancy, a fund available for acquisition of
land which might otherwise be sold to a developer.
Swenson Farm. The Chsirman reported that even though some
snow has fallen Mr. Mazerall has been at work clearing out
brush for the .propnsed picnic area.
The meeting adjourned at 12:30 p.m. , until the next meeting
December 29, at 7: 45 p.m.
The Commission will meet every Monday evening in January,
the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th at 7 45 n.m.
