It was found that the hedge is on private property and, with the exception of a few branches does not encroach on the town way However, it was also found, that, due to the degree of horizontal curvature of the road, the hedges presence, even on private property, limits sight distance Were Lawrence Lane not a local street, used almost exclusively by residents who are very familiar with the area, the Committee would most probably make a recommendation of taking, through Town Meeting Action, a sight distance easement and removing the hedge At this time however, based on the characteristics of Lawrence Lane, we do not feel such drastic action is necessary and recommend no action in that regard. The Committee was also informed by the Engineering Division that the warrants for "Caution Children" signs are met, and, therefore, recommends that they be installed Those in attendance Peter M.
