If there is no positive decision by LHA, the main mot on may still be offered by others +� Mr Eaton stated that he has withdrawn, as a nominee f¢r the MMRVTS MMRVTS LHA Committee, and that he will not run for election to L`'iA, owing to mg personal plans Mr Eaton said the Subcommittee will meet on 19 Januiry 1974. HOUSING SUBCOMMITTEE Mr Wayne E Barber of Creative Environments will speak, The Subcommittee is preparing a housing questionnaire They have asked DCA Commr L Crampton for additional material Mr.Michelman introduced Mr, Barber for an informal d .scussion with FLINTLOCK the Commission. Mr Barber said that, after the defeat of the Flintlick rezoning article in the 1973 Town Meeting, his firm sent a qu stionnaire to all Town Meeting members After analyzing the re ults, and after a series of meetings with neighborhood reside is and with Lincoln Laboratories (the latter to discuss possible traffic-flow improvements even if there is no development) , they ve decided to file two articles for the 1974 Town Meeting, unde both the RM zone and the proposed new RD Zone (9 dwelling units er acre). Their present plan calls for the development of 16.4 acres with 115 dwelling units 22 one-bedroom apartments, 10 tw -bedroom apartments, 35 two-bedroom townhouses, and 48 two-be room "deluxe" townhouses with loft(not an added bedroom) He esti ates an 18 percent increase in the company's costs, includin $5,000 budgeted for an environmental impact study Whereas the 1973 prices ranged from $21,500 to $39,500, with an avera a of $32,300, the 1974 prices would range from $29,500 to $46,900, with an average of $40,900 The smallest units are 720 to 768 square feet Mr Michelman asked if the one-bedroom units would appeal to "empty-nesters" Mr Barber said they would not, insofar as these people need a visitors' bedroom.
