Lorain volunteered. Next Steps: • The team discussed the "Lessons learned" for Veterans Day. They discussed whether we should have the breakfast, ceremony and the parade for Veterans Day on the same weekend. The breakfast should be the 1st Saturday of the month and the parade should be on Veterans Day. We discussed Patriots Day 2025 and reviewed the budget for Lex 250. We discussed the parade route and the staking of the units. It is going to be quite a challenge. • David to send the parade unit spreadsheet to Ashley and Suzie. • David to send out acceptance letters for "no brainer" parade units, stating details to follow. • Linda to submit Lex Veterans' parade application. • Pam to continue working on obtaining permission from the FAA for a flyover at the beginning of the parade. • David was requested to share the parade spreadsheet with Suzie. We have 124 units totaling $99,000.00. Dave shared information about some of the units that might make a difference in acceptance. • Wilson's Farms has chosen not to participate in the parade due to the day being day before Easter. • Jamie to reach out to Charlie Price asking him to be Grand Marshal of the parade. • Sue will ask Plimoth Patuxet Museums to contact Cathy Severance regarding their request for an information table. • David to provide an update to the Lancers within 2 weeks regarding their parade application. • Discussion about handouts at the parade. • Dance Around the World, March 8, 2025. Lex 250 Invitations going out, no other new information • Ashley and Linda to proceed with planning the Memorial Day event using the "Songs of the Era" theme. • Glen to contact Suzie Barry regarding the process for creating the Patriots' Day trifold. • Questions came up regarding our participation in the re- enactment. • Questions came up about the position of the reviewing stand. • Parade stepping off on Maple Street. • Discussion about units being political being referred to the Select Board.
