HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-11-25-LCPS-min.pdf ^ i i LEXINGTON COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC SAFETY November 25, 1941 A regular meeting of the Executive Committee of the Lexington Committee on Public Safety was held in the Town Office Building on Tuesday evening, November 25, 1941. Chairman Putney, Messrs Rucker, Warren, Adams , Person, Crumb, Webb, Sands , Mrs Mayo were present . The white cross of the nurse 's aid insignia is now to be a red cross as a result of the Red Cross tying in with this committee. Arm bands are obligatory and Congress has been asked to authorize sufficient funds to provide arm bands . No definite information concerning insignia has been yet received Mr. Adams moved tha Allen Rucker have charge of all insignia No insignia to be given out without the authority of the Lexington Committee on Public Safety. Mr Person seconded the motion, and it was so voted. A bill in the amount of $16 10 for materials furnished for Air Raid Wardens Group was approved for payment. Mr. Rucker moved that the Executive Committee approve a sum not exceeding $15.00 for necessary lumber to construct a table for the Report Center. Mr Adams seconded the motion, and it was so voted.
