HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-10-07-LCPS-min.pdf LEXINGTON COMMITTEE 011 PUBLIC SAFETY Meeting - October 7 , 1941 A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Lexington Committee on Public Safety was held in the Town Office Build- ing, Tuesday evening, October 7 , 1941 at 8 00 P M. Chairman, Luther R Putney, Messrs Robert Person, Richard Cromwell, Ralph Tucker, Alan Adams , Harold Lamont, Robert Mayo, Leeland Emery, Manfred Warren, Robert Whitney, Lee Tarbox, and Mrs Lamont were present Walter H Boireau, District Director was also present . Mr Boireau reported that the District Warning Center telephone connection is Lasalle 8410-8411. The Chairman read a letter from the Board of Selectmen regarding the trunk line from Newton, through the switch- board. Mr. Lamont telephone Mr. George C Sheldon, Chairman of the Appropriation Committee, and requested $47 00 for the installation of a trunk line and report center, to )e located in the Engineers ' Room. It was decided to ask for $75 00 to cover any incidentals Mr Lamont reported to the committee that Mr Sheldon told him that he was sure the Appropriation Committee would approve the request, and for the Committee on Public Safety write the Appropriation Committee stating for what purpose the money was needed Members to work on the Report Center are as follows Stanley Higgins , Chief Engineer; William C Paxton; Malcolm Clifford, Aux. Police; Norman C. Hooper , Aux. Firemen; Carl Terhune , N'irst Aid; Water,Sands ; Robert Mayo; Leland Emery; Luther Putney; Robert Vhitney.
