Chairman Luther R. Putney, Messrs Walter Sands, Allen Rucker, Harold Lamont, Lee Tarbox, Robert Person, Alan Adams , and Melville Webb were present Mr. Malcolm Clifford and Sergeant Neal, of the Auxiliary Police appeared before the Committee at 9 30 P M Mr. Clifford discussed briefly the activities of the Auxiliary Police He requested authority to eliminate all members who miss three meetings in succession. Mr. Walter Sands approved of this request. Mr Clifford stated that he would like to have $50 00 for the purchase of ammunition He advised purchasing the ammunition from Iver Johnson Sporting Goods, Inc. through Mr Ralph Dale He stated that by doing this, there would be a saving of 11%. Mr. Clifford said his men needed equip- ment and he would like to have at least a night stick, insignia, and a badge for each man. Mr. Allen Rucker moved that the Board of Selectmen be requested to transfer the sum of $50.00 from the Selectmen's Funds - Expenses Account to be used for the purchase of ammuniton for the Auxiliary Police; this ammunition to be purchased from Iver Johnson Sporting Goods, Inc. through Mr. Ralph Dale.
