A meetingof the Town Office Building Committee was held at the Selectmens Office, Town Hall, Feb. 7 1928 at 8.15 P M Messrs Custance, Burnham, Ballard, Robertson, Chamberlain, Hooper, Maddison, and Worthen were present. Letter was received from the Town Accountant in which he stated that the total expenditures to January 24, 1928 on the `Itown Office Building amounted to $49,809.72. M Haley Electric Co. 450.00 $13,637.95 3 2/5 of 6% of above $327.,0 Mr. Robertson reported that the pipes of the Sprinkler System in the office Building are exposed, and are very unsightly, es- pecially in the corridors uHe `stated that the Architects should not allow the pipes to be exposed in a new building, and it was decided to ask the Architects why this was allowed, and to reportaththe next meeting of the Committee. It was voted that the Town Office Building Committee ask the Trustees of the Isaac Harris Cary gducational Fund to advance ; 4,000. on account of grading on the Memorial Building grounds. It was vdded. to notify the Architects of every meeting of the Building Committee so that they may be represented, and also have the proper papers to carry out any instructions voted by the Com- mittee at any previous meeting, It was agreed to notify the Sub-Committee and the Architects that a meeting would be held at the Town Office Building on Thursday, February 9, 1928 at 8 A. M. The following bids were received in regard to furnishing hardware for the Town Office Building Haymarket hardware Co. Russell & Erwin hardware 998.63 After a discussion on the above bids and the grade of hardware of each company, several samples having been submitted, it was voted that the Committee request the Architects to secure estimates on first grade Yale Hardware and have the Lockwood Company and the 1 Russell and Erwin Company submit detail bids on the equivalent in their hardware to the first grade Yale hardware stating the catalog number specifically for each article, and, if possible, have the bids in for the meeting of the Committee on next Tuesday night. The meeting adjourned at 9.40 P.M. A true record, Attest Clerk pro-tem. The Committee decided to close up the door that 'leads from the Clerk of Selectmen's office into the main corridor1 and the Architects were notified to this effect.
