JANUARY 10, 1928
A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the
Selectmen' s Office Messrs Custance, Burnham, Robertson, Chamber-
lain and Architect William R Greeley were present The Clerk and
the Supt of Public Works were also pre. ent
Re Town Office Building
At a meeting of the Board of Selectmen held on the 10th inst it
was voted to authorize the Architects to have a door placed as an
entrance to the office of the Clerk, Board of Selectmen, leading in
from the hall at head of stairs to the basement, also to have a
door leading in from the Tax Collector' s Office to the Conference
Room It was also voted to leave out the partition in the lounge
room in the basement and to approve the charge of $458 00 for screens,
same being the bid of the Holbrook Company
It was agreed with the opinion of the Architects, to use the
Western Waterproofing Company in place of the R I W Company there-
by saving $25 00
It was agreed that Mr Greeley was to secure figures on the cost
of putting in arches in what was originally planned to be the
Assessors room so that partitions might be put up in the future
It was agreed to allow Mr Greenwood to use salamanders in the
Town Office Building to dry out the plaster, inasmuch as he cannot
obtain the heat from the Memorial Building Mr Custance agreed to
let him take a boiler. that he has which he believed would furnish the
heat for the whole building after the rough plaster was dried out
It was decided to meet on Saturday afternoon, Jan 14th, 1928.,
at 2 30 P M with the Architect to view the building and study the
changes
