HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-10-14-CAC-min.pdf Lexington Cable Tv and Communications Advisory committee MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE, 14 October 1992 The Committee met in Room 111 of the Town Office Building The meeting was called to order at 5 32 PM. Those present were Julian Bussgang, Jack Cunha, Jane Gharibian, Theodore Mairson, Leo McSweeney, Sara Schoman, William Spencer, Martha Stanton and Caleb Warner Jay Somers of Cablevision was also present The minutes of the meeting of 9 September 1992 were approved The second transfer hearing was discussed Somers stated that there were no shortcomings on Cablevision s part Be has asked Marti Green to clarify (1) transfer to whom, (2) defining documents, (3) plan for distribution of new converters The following items were part of a general and lengthy discussion (3 ) questions remaining (4) final document requirements (5) plan for next (final) hearing (6 ) recommendations to Selectmen The consensus was that Lexington's position should be defined and documented in time for distribution to the Selectmen on Friday afternoon, 16 October 1992 (Item 7 of the agenda) Item 8) Access/LO subcommittee report The following items were discussed (1) updating of studio cameras (2) program notices in the Minuteman. Somers asked for 2- 3 weeks to work something out (3) studio hours (4) channel B-12 signal quality Item 9) SCOLA update Discussion of this item was postponed. Item 10) Status of items discussed with Town Manager Somers had received letter from John Ryan (Acting Manager) re $25,000 I-Trunk usage by police This usage occurred after the Town Manager called Somers with a request The Committee suggested that the Selectmen should tell the Manager that channel assignments are made by the Committee Bussgang asked for a listing of I-Trunk channel assignments Item 11) Election of new Chair and recording secretary Julian Bussgang was elected chair of the committee Election of a recording secretary was postponed There was no new business The meeting adjourned at 7 15 PM Respectfully submitted, Theodore Mair son 1470 CATV Minutes (921014) Printed 10/30/92 @ 12:37 PM Page 1
