Absent: Raghav Shrivastava, Brooke Pan, Eva Benet,John Kefalas, Nethra Ramaiah, Brett Robinson,Ava Kieval,Alice Ma,Arden Carey, Kimly Nguyen,Victoria Wu, Keya Doshi and Doug Lucente Present: Sarah Kochi,Vivian Lou, Sophie Read, Sofia Saleeby,Jack Gehring, Khayan Das, Violet Clarke,Andrew Najarian, Blake St. Louis, Sadie Maloney, Lucy Applegate, Sarah Chen, Meera Krishnan,Jay Krishnan, Sonal Setty, Barton Byers, Henry Kamich, Rohan Singh, Emma Kain, Carys Roberts, Emily Hoefkens, Isabella Barbesino, Sophie Glavine, Sam Quattlebaum,Amanda Quattlebaum, Eliza Babson, Rohan Banerji, Margot Byers, Gabriella Costello,Tom Romano, Deb Hankins, Shannon DeGugielmo, Kristina Hankins,Aaron Yu, Owen Rosenthal, Sarah Beutell Minutes from the September Meeting were read and approved LYC Island Clean Up Jack talked about the island clean up and the success of our September project.We planted mums, and pumpkins. The DPW did a great job at fall clean up, and weeding. Thank you Shannon for the pizza, and the cake was a hit too. Deb thanked Meera and Sadie for their social media posts. Halloween Balloon Hanaina-Thursday.October 31st - We will be hanging balloons in the center on Thursday, October 31st, meeting in the Quad at 11:45. Make sure you have a note to be dismissed at 11:45 returning no later than 1:00 pm, LYC Balloon Hanging for Downtown Tricker or Treaters. List of people who can come:Vivian, Emily, Emma, Meera, Sofia,Jack, Izzy, Sadie, Lucy, Sam, Eliza, Amanda(late), Sophie(late), Rohan, Henry,Jay, Sophie, Sarah Beutell, Khayal,Aaron, Gabby, Margot, Sonal, Sarah Chen,Violet, Carys, Sarah Kochi. If you cannot attend and have signed up, please let Deb, Sophia or Jack know. You cannot be a no show unless you have reached out to them. Food Pantry Bags have been distributed to the members who attended the October meeting. ANYONE WHO WAS ABSENT FROM THE OCTOBER 10TH MEETING MUST CONTACT DEB TO THEIR BAGS. THIS SHOULD BE COMPLETED BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18TH. Sadie talked about how everyone has 6 Trader Joe's bags that need to be filled. You can ask family,friends, and neighbors to fill them by donating non-perishable items. All donations will go to the Lexington Food Pantry to help those in need during the holidays. You are responsible for collecting the bags, and delivering them to C&W for November 16th by noon. We will meet up at C&W Transportation (240 Bedford St)at 12:00 on Saturday, November 16th. We will check all dates,sort by food group, box up, load the van, and deliver to the Food Pantry. We need as many hands as possible, if everyone brings their 6 bags,we will have over 300 bags of food to sort and distribute. Our goal is 2000 pounds of food= 1 TON. This community service event will be from 12:00-2:00, lunch will be served. Lex250 Celebration Monday December 2nd Monday, December 2nd we will meet at 7:45 AM at the 250 Countdown Celebratoin calendar outside town hall to take a picture changing the day. Please plan on attending..... Toys for Tots.Saturday,December 7th-Downtown Lexington Center Meera explained how we spend all day in the center in festive costumes collecting toys for the Toys for Tots organization We will be making an effort to advertise the event more heavily this year Location may be moved this year to make it easier for people to stop by Tom's Time Community center is getting upgrades to the game room!Anyone who has a suggestion for games that they should add can scan a QR code and leave their thoughts Tom is still looking for people to volunteer at the Haunted House at the community center on October 25th from 7pm- 10pm(people can come by earlier to help with setup). Anyone who has an idea for floats can contact Deb or Meera,sending rough sketches, designs, or a written statement.
