Cablevision representative: Peter Atherton. Visitor:Nicholas Hay A chapge was made in section 5 of previous minutes from"pole"to"poll" The minutes were approved as corrected. David Becker spoke on the resolution of governance. Town budget now has recommendation for a network manager at '/2 the original amount. David Kanter spoke of the revised version of 207 CMR. Content is the same. Cablevision asked to recalculate Lexington's rebates as a result of the Hudson ruling. Discussion of requests of Hancock Church and the Museum of Our National Heritage. Need for guidelines. Entitled to ten outlets per year at Cablevision's expense. Determine type and level of usage. Can't resell. Voted: To table discussion until further clarification is made.Research BBN contract. Consider future use and future cost. Drops now in Town buildings and National Guard Headquarters. Discussion of student volunteers. Responsibility for training is with Cablevision. Wendy Wilson passes along names of interested students. Peter Atherton will research the possibility that student camera workers be paid through Cablevision. Students would work 3-4 hours per evening covering meetings of various committees. Julie Triessl will investigate the use of interns from local schools and colleges. Peter Atherton: Box remapping. Schedule not available. Question raised as to whether Cablevision has committed to the correction. Commercial rate card be sent out. Rate increases pushed back three days. Crediting has impacted business. Discussion of power outages and automatic rebates. Check was sent as requested. Cablevision is not for sale-will be selling off non-strategic systems which do not include Lexington. Discussion of Open Video Systems and RCN as competition for cable market. Dave Buczkowski asked about changes in tiering. Comedy Central has been moved from Spectrum to Family L a Jane Gharibian: License errata from Steve Ellis to Peter Epstein to Peter Atherton. Next meeting will be March 20th at 5:30 pm.
