HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-05-05.0 SELECTMEN'S MEETING May 5, 1941. A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in the Selectmen's Room at 5:00 P. M. Messrs. Giroux, Potter, and Sarano were present. The Clerk was also present. The following uses of halls were requested: Lexington Outlook Club, to use Cary Hall on February 3 and January 20, 1942, from 2:30 P. M. to 4:30 P. M.; Lexington Outlook Club, to use Cary Hall on February 17, 1942 for a scholarship bridge; Gwendoline Johnson, to use Estabrook Hall on June 13, Use of 1941 for a Recital; halls Boston Edison Co., to use Cary Hall on May 21, 1941 from 2:00 P. M. to 4:00 P. M., for a Lecture, Mr. Potter moved that the uses be granted, and that the Outlook Club be charged $10.00 each for the January 20th and February 3rd uses; that Gwendoline Johnson be charged 10.00 for the Recital; and the Boston Edison Co. be charged 125.00 for the lecture. Mr. Sarano seconded the motion, and it was so voted. Mr. Sarano seconded the motion, and it was so voted. Letter was received from the Town Accountant requesting • permission to be absent from his duties from May 8 to May 19. Account - Mr. Sarano moved that Mr. Russell's request be granted. Mr. ant's Potter seconded the motion, and it was so voted. vacation Commitment of water miscellaneous charges in the amount of 362.75, and commitment, of water liens in the amount of 158.12 were signed.
