SELECTMEN'S MEETING
FEBRUARY 26, 1938 I
A spe.ial meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held
in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 1:30
P.M. Chairman Ferguson, Messrs. Giroux, Potter, Clark
and Ross were present. The Clerk was also present.
The Town Treasurer appeared before the Board and sub-
mitted the following bids received on the .4150,000.00
loan in anticipation of revenue :
R. L. Day Co. .33%
Loan Second Nat. Savings Bank .35%
Wrenn Brothers .389%
New England Trust Co. .20 plus 411
Second Nat. Bank .239%
Lexington Trust Co. .35,0
Mr. Ross moved that the bid of the New England Trust
Co. be accepted. Mr. Clark seconded the motion and it was
so voted.
Mr. Giroux informed the Board that the Briggs Class
would like to use Cary Ball for the four Sundays, February
27th, March 6th, 13th and 20th. He said that he intended
Use of Hall. to bring up the matter at the last meeting but forgot it. '
Mr. Clark moved that the use of the Hall be granted for
the following dates : February 27th, March 13th and 20th,
subject to a fee of .45.00. Mr. Ross seconded the motion
and it was so voted. The use of the hall for March 6th
was denied because of the election on Monday, March 7th.
Anderson Application for the admission of Mrs. Susie Anderson
application of 132 Grant Street to the Middlesex County Sanatorium
was signed.
The Appropriation Committee appeared before the Board
at 2 :30 P M.
The following action was taken on budgets :
Public Welfare :
Personal Services - Salary of Agent approved for
. 2284.
Fletcher Avenue warning signals :
It was voted to insert an article in the Warrant for
the payment of a bill for maintenance and operation of
Budgets the warning signals at Fletcher Avenue for the year 1937
in the amount of 497.01.
Water Maintenance:
Wages and Expenses - Total amount approved, 455,300.

Accounting Department :
Expenses - Postage and Office Supplies reduced from
$185.00 to 160.00, making total amount approved $350.00.
Water Maintenance Replacements :
Reduced from v1500.00 to 01250.00. •
The meeting adjourned at' 6 :00 P.M.
