Paul Bill in has served notice of re- " consideration of this article, which Town Meeting defeated on April 3. After some discussion, a majority of the Commission 4t-, members agreed that progress in this area would best be served by not brin4ng this article up for reconsideration in this Town Meeting. Motions Passed on Use of Conservation Fund for completion of Ballou purchase (Article 62 of 1971) VOTED that the Conservation Commission hereby authorizes that the Conservation Fund be expended as follows to complete purchase of land of Margaret Ballou, as voted under Article 62 of 1971 The sum of $234 38 from Article 64 of 1969, and The sum of 4,833.62 from Article 60 of 1971. VOTED that the Conservation Commission hereby authorizes that the following amounts be expended from the Conservation Fund, in order to pay the Town' s share of taxes on the land formerly of Margaret Ballou (purchased by the Town of Lexington March 31, 1972) for the period April 1, 1972 through December 31, 1972: The total sum of 8274.17 , of which $166.38 to be taken from Article 60 of 1971 and the sum of $107.79 from Article 63 of 1972. Cleanup Offensive. Dr. Friedman said that one day' s event of the campaign will be cleanup of rivers and waterways. Commission members mentioned Clematis Brook (also recommended regionally because it is part of the Charles River water system) and the North Lexington Brook in the vicinity of the Town dump. The meeting adjourned at 7 59 p.m. so that all could attend Town Meeting.
