SELECTLIEN'S MEETING
October 16, 1937•
A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held
in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 11:00
A. M. Chairman Ferguson and hessrs. Ross, Giroux, and
Clark were present. The Clerk was also present.
Letter was received from the Chief of Police advising
that he talked with Officer Henry H. Harvey and told him
that his suspension period was up on October 16, 1937.
Harvey told the Chief that his license to operate a motor
vehicle had been suspended for an indefinite period, but
that he had made application to Registrar Goodwin for re-
instatement. The Chief said that he considered Officer
Harvey unfit for police duty because he did not have a
license to operate an automobile. The Chief recommended
that Harvey be suspended for another thirty day period
under section 7 (e) of the Police Department Rules and
Regulations.
Upon motion of Mr. Ross, seconded by Mr. Giroux, the
following vote was passed:
VOTED: That Patrolman Henry H. Harvey be suspended
for thirty days from this day, in view of the report of
the Chief of Police that his license to operate a motor
vehicle has been revoked because of a legal offense. This
vote is passed in accordance with Rule 7(e) of the Police
Department Rules and Regulations. Mr. Clark voted in
opposition to the matter.
The meeting adjourned at 11:20 A. M.
