Williams and Mazerall (ex-officio) , Dr. Friedman, Mrs. Solomon and Mr. Hughes, administrative assistant, present.. Minutes of October 2, 1972 Commission Meeting were approved as amended. Clarke Junior High School. Despite a verbal understanding that the holding pond would not be dug until a conference between Mr. Larson and Mr. Bradley had taken place, and despite the fact that a Hatch Act ,J .permit has not yet been issued by DNR, the Permanent Building Committee allowed the contractor to dig the pond-hole last Tuesday. Commission expressed displeasure with site inspection reports and procedure. Commission will insist that job be completed to its satisfaction. (HMK) Hill-Meek. Application to DNR to be submitted with appraisals, even though they are less than agreed price. (JF, ESG) Valleyfield. Commission noted that filling on Sowkow land is without permit. Town Counsel action will be requested. (HMK) Grey Nuns. Actions at Board of Appeals hearing discussed. Re- commended Commission be in touch with Sister Caron about new loca- tion of Pelham: Rd tend possibility of land-acqusition (MFR, JF) near Mass. Ave Planning Board. Closer relationship recommended. Chairman will try to arrange meeting with them next week. (HMK) Letters from Commission. Recommended that either whole Commis- sion or Chairman sign all important letters, with individual members of the Commission or the secretary signing only minor letters of inquiry or appointment confirmation. Titelbaum Board of Appeals Request . Revision of draft letter recommended. (DGW) Board of Appeals, In General. Recommended Commission watch hearing notices carefully and find out as much as possible through the Board of Appeals office. Letters to the Board should be sent as early as possible to encourage their reaching each member of the Board, it was recommended. Mark Moore Land. Chairman will discuss this with the Planning Board, in effort to preserve wet land. (HMK) Girl Scouts. Senior group would like to do project on Conserva- tion land. Commission indicated Whipple Hill possibility. They will be asked to come in next week. (ESG) UEG 11. 1911 Conservation Commission Minutes October 10, 1972 k. Cardinal Associates have been advised to apply for a Hatch Act permit, if they are interested in building on the empty lot on IL Fessenden Way. (JF) Questions 1 and 5 on the Ballot. Advisability of Commission' s commenting was discussed Draft comment will be prepared(MFR) =s.
