HomeMy WebLinkAbout1936-08-11 5980.3 01 1-4 CAI SELECTMEN'S MEETING 1 AUGUST 11,1936 A special meeting of the Selectmen was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 5:00 P.M. Chairman Ferguson, Messrs. Giroux, Potter and Ross were present. The Clerk was also present. Water miscellaneous abatements in the amount of Abatements. $563.21 were signed by the Board. Mr. Ross moved that a Common Victualler 's License License be granted to Earl W. Folsom, 428 Marrett Road, Lex- ington, subject to the recommendation of the Chief of Police. Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was so voted. Commitment. Commitment of Water Liens in the amount of $86.48 was signed by the Board. The Chairman explained that in the past, it has been the policy of the Board not to appoint town employees to Election positions as Election Officers and for this reason he Officers. would recommend that the Board rescind its vote of August 4th, appointing George V. Morse to the position to Inspector in Precinct Two and Clayton F. Beach to the position of Deputy Warden in Precinct Three. Mr. Ross moved that the Chairman' s recommendation be approved. Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was so voted. Mr. Ross moved that the following Election Officers be appointed for a period ending September 1st, 1937: Precinct One. D Mary A.
