establishing a building line.
The meeting was held at the Selectmen's Room, Town
Office Building, Messrs. Burnham, Custance, Blake, Shannon.

also present.
Notice was sent to Daniel J. O:!ConneLl, Anstisz S.
Aunt, et al, Miss Mary D. Hunt, Air. & Mrs William Hunt,
Mr. Nathan 'Bidwell, and Mrs. John Ballard of the meeting.
Mr. O'Connell was asked whether or not he would take
345,000 in payment of 'the land to be purchased for the
relocation.of Massachusetts Avenue. Mr. O'Connell stated
t_ -:at he would like to put a prick 'Luilding up. He did not
want to force anyone's hand, but he felt that -he should
"^e entitled to do something and he wanted to know what the
Town was Roing to do about the situation. Iie stated that
he would take $60,000 for his property as a result of the
street widening.
Mr. Blake called attention to the fact that only
$30,00.0 was appropriated for the Stuart -Marshall property
j and that all of the land that has been sold in that district
north of the Town Hall has been at a materially lower
price.
Mr. Blake called attention to the fact that the Town
Hall was sold for $50,000 and the Keeley Institute for
$5,000; the price of the Aldrich property was $16,000.
Mr. O'Connell stated that he could do very wbll with
the property as it is if he knew where he was at. He
stated that it might be possible for him to negotiate
1iith the Boston &'Maine Railroad Corporation for a right-
of-way across the Railroad property, and that he might
negotiate with the Hunt property owners for a right-of-way.
He felt that if he moved the building back, it would benefit
the Town, inasmuch as it would beautify the condition
as the oresent building would not be sticking out into the
highway. He stated that he did not care what the Hunt
heirs did, but he wanted $60,000.
Mr. Blake stated that he felt the Hunt property would
be less valuable in one year if Mr. O'Connell moved back his
property inasmuch as it would ..-i ve better parking space in
front of Mr. O'Connell's property, -as at present the parking
there is bad.
Mr. O'Connell then was, asked whether or not his
proposition of $60,000 stood if no taking was to be made
of the Bunt block at this time, and Mr. O'Connell stated
