COMMUNICATIONS Chmn. Barnes reported that PA system arrangements with Raytheon 'ere complete Mr. Flynn .nd Mr Fitzgerald will check out power supp=ly availability. Mr. Flynn believes that arrangements for the tie line to Concord are .satisfactorily underway Mr Fitzgerald reported that the .,alkie—tallies being supplied by Motorola for parade use are now available; he, Chmn Barnes Chief Marshal Broderick and parade staff and parade monitors will work out use and placement of this equipment PARKING Mr Fitzgerald reported that arrangements for bus parking at the reviewing stand were underway; final arrangements with Chief Corr depend on information needed from Concord. The Liberty Mutual parking lot ad— jacent to Heritage Hall has been made available to the TCC; barrier placement and entry control must be finalized. Arrangements for private vehicle parking and assembly time et Herituge hall are still pending receipt of the LBC guest acceptance list DECORATIONS Mr. Fitzgerald noted that decoration of public buildings was scheduled to begin about April 1; he noted later at the joint TCC— LBC meeting that arrangements with the decorator were substantially as in prior years i. e. , no written contract had been demanded and there was no agreement that the TCC- LBC would assume any liability for vandalism. The latter has not proved a major problem in. past years. Mr Fitzgerald also introduced the idea of making arrangements for lining the center stripe p< inted on Massachusetts Avenue through the center of the Town a.ith red and blue, in addition to the white already there. This question was later raised at the joint meeting; Ohmn. Cole of the LBC, hearing no ob— jection from LBC and TCC members, assumed. the obligation of further in— vestigation. MORNING PARADE Mrs. McGonagle noted that the Lexington High School Cumberland Exchange Group planned 60 participate AFTERNOON PARADE Chief Marshal Broderick stated that he was well pleased with results of the first meeting for parade staff held on Saturday, March 29 Staff duties were assigned and division appointments made nix divi— signs are planned; working parade monitors will be used. The second staff meeting is scheduled for April 5 , and Chmn Barnes. noted that since Esta— brook Hall would not be available he had arranged for this meeting to be held in Cary Hall The Chief Marshal announced that he hoped to have the roster in :,Tint during the upcoming week; it was moved by Mr. lirenchiek and seconded by Mr Fitzgerald and voted unanimously that 9500 be authorized as a participa— tion fee for the Ancient Fife and Deum Corps. The fee requested by the Nutmeg Volunteers is excessive; they Will not appear. At the joint LBC— TCC meeting, the Chief Marshal further explained the makeua of the parade roster by use of a color coded chart showing placement of the various types of units as well as listing of individual entries.
