The minutes of the last meeting have not been submitted and therefore could not be approved. PRESENTATIONS Advanced Signing:Mr.William H. McConaghy,President of Advanced Signing, presented designs for signs at 55 Hayden Ave. and 65 Hayden Ave. One existing sign will be moved and a new sign added. The new sign is similar to the existing ones, although not the same.Design of the signs is excellent and was quickly approved. Wireless Communication Tower, Church of Our Redeemer,6 Meriam St. Eight windows, three panels and the finial will be changed to accommodate radio and power equipment. Glass will be replaced by Lexan and the panels and finial by moulded fiberglas. Changes will not be apparent from outside. For possible future historical interest the existing windows and panels will be stored in the basement of the church. The project was approved. Lowell Street Condominiums Project, Rising Tide Development LLC: John Frey reported on meetings he had attended of a review committee chaired by Jean Krieger.Design is in a very preliminary phase and is likely to change.Present plans call for 48 units on 3 acres. 25% of the units would be affordable, which allows the developer to disregard certain rules, such as setbacks. The project will go by these rules, however, and 40 ft height limits(now measured to the peak of the roof)will be observed. The units will be 21/2 stories with 1 1/2 cars per unit garaged under the units. Density of the project layout was questioned. 12' wide one-way roads do not allow for parking. Snow storage, traffic issues, access for fire engines and drainage were amongst other questions. The project will certainly be modified as it progresses. Two new schools, Lexington(to replace Fiske and Harrington): Rich Sperandino reported on his visit with a review committee.TLCR Associates Inc.is the architect,Todd Lee Principal in charge. Brochures for schematic design were shown. The brochures showed plans but no elevations or perspectives. The plans showed standard classrooms along lengthy corridors, typical of school plans of 50 years ago.DAC members felt that it is too early to offer comments. Next Meeting: The next meeting will be on Tuesday,February 5,2002,at 8:00 PM. L
