They had been received, along with the December 2001 to December 2002 Scribe List, in timely fashion. There were no minutes for November as the meeting was cancelled. Photo: David Tremblay was present to take the photograph of the DAC for the Town Report. 1. Hobby Town USA. Carol Bugby was asking for a special permit for an internally lit sign. The DAC does not ordinarily approve such conditions. This is next to 'Kitchen Etc." which is internally lit. The letters will be the same height as "Kitchen Etc." All felt in favor of the special permit. 2. 91 Hartwell Avenue: The new sign was to be very slightly smaller than the old one. The DAC would like the Inspectional Services to give applicants a copy of "The Sign Guidelines" This enables the applicant to present the issues that we need to make our decisions. This application was returned for more information. 3. 4 Maguire Road: A 36"x 60" sign was requested. There would be a white ground with#356 green letters. Again, it was returned for more information. 4. Miscellaneous items: 1 As the Town deals with projects of new schools, should the DAC become involved with landscaping, signage, exteriors, early on? This was reflected by the new High School sign. Rich will speak with Rick White about this. 2. Plant Action Community Development on Lowell Street includes 4 house lots. They will come in for 48 units under Chapter 40B Tony Galaitsis did research on this site previously John Frey will join him in studying the issues.
