1. Nextel—Cranberry Hill,John Kovaks and Chris Francis
Cell antennas to be mounted on facade of building. There will be 12 antennas, 4 per set,
painted to match stone of the building. They will be below the fascia except for 'h"black cable,
which DAC would have preferred to be a less obtrusive color DAC approved.
2. Nextel—informal,District 4
Add 3 antennas to tower(where there already are 3)in T frame arrangement.
One 90 ft above ground, two 100 ft above ground. Shelter at ground level to be 10 ft x 20 ft x 10
ft high. We would grant waiver. We would not have suggested granting a waiver for initial tower
3. Waldorf School—informal, John Ellis and Paul Menz
Proposed sign for High School to be the same as the lower school sign at driveway They
( presented a sketch with a list of specifications, included a paint chip. DAC needs to see an
accurate scale drawing of letters and sign.
4. Citizens Bank at Hartwell Avenue, Tom Cox
This was the Depositer's Trust, approved as a special use as a bank by Town Meeting in
1979 This was"retail use" This proposal is for"office use" Existing ATM will be phased out.
They are looking to enclose the present roofed over drive-through. If this takes place,
DAC recommends future trees instead of some parking. At the time of the removal of bituminous
asphalt, there should be an increase of green space. Existing lighting is to be used. The signs
would be rmoved.
5. Belmont Savings Bank—signage
Representatives from the bank returned in response to our suggestions at the last DAC
meeting on January 9 2001. They presented color photos of the blue lettering in the sign band at
the southeast corner of the Anton's Cleaners building where Belmont Banks'ATM lies. The
downspout will be moved to the left, they will remove the sign on the canopy, the aluminum
letters will be 1/4inch thick with a baked enamel finish.
John Frey spoke with us about the substance of the Tree Committee's two warrant articles.
