Davies, Olga Voronina, Barbara Hulshizer Sally Harkness, Eva Kasell (Scribe) Approval,of Minutes December Minutes were approved. Miscellaneous Photos were taken for the annual Town Report Presentation Belmont Savinas Bank. Representatives from Belmont Savings Bank returned with a second proposal for signage for their ATM machine at Marrett Square: A sign mounted by a bracket at 90% to the building in order to maximize visibility Members of the DAC agreed that the new smaller size of the lettering was more appropriate After various ideas and comments from the members, the DAC recommended Belmont Savings Bank to return with a third proposal: Mounting the letters in blue directly on the existing white fascia, once on each side of the Marrett Road corner to make it visible from Waltham Street as well. The proposed was deemed arrow was unnecessary Discussion Betsy Whitman brought to our attention, that the so-called 'Betsy Whitman Fruit Trees at Country Side have been cut down. Steve Hurley promised to speak to the Board of Appeals about how to proceed. Barbara Hulsizer mentioned her concern about a presentation by Kerry Brandin of a proposed traffic island at the intersection of Franklin and Mariam Street brought before the DAC in October 2000 Her concern was whether such an island over time would indeed be maintained by the neighborhood as planned, or would eventually become the responsibility (and burden) of the Town. Betsy Whitman seconded her expression of concern. Adjournment We adjourned at about 9.15 Next DAC meeting will be Tuesday, February at 8:00PM
