Asphalt has been hard to identify as curbing as well as it is the same as the stamped asphalt hardscapc, bike reflectors were uscd on curb hut they were broken and HDC has approved the painting of the curb white. Harrington Road to be opened soon, first need to remove telephone pole along Bedford Rd. Center Parking. Town needs to complete survey Center Signage for Bike and Skate Karen Bechtel presented an excellent solution by designing an attractive oval,green sign with white lettering promoting safety first in the center warning against jaywalking,biking and skating.The proposal would eliminate the current jaywalking signs posted in the center Safety First, signs in small form, arc proposed on the four existing hike racks and on-poles close to: Crafty Yankee, Lmery Park, Work Bench, Aesops Bagels. BankBoston, two near the hikepath,one at the end of Edison Way and one at Meriam St Hayden, Lincoln Street/Worthen Rd Hayden Skating facility wants to enlarge the current building by IS (feet toward Lincoln St. thereby bringing the building into current standard size. An upgrade or the foyer and changing rooms is also planned as well as unifying the exterior of the building in brick. Outside an access ramp will be added, parking will be redefined by adding one more space as well as some new landscaping to accommodate the new addition and parking. We suggested that they look at the lighting in that urea,specifically in regard to safety American Tower Corporation, 75 Concord Ave. Requesting to place 2 whip antennas on one of four existing AM radio towers, 350' tall, which are located on 27 acres off Concord Ave. The 2 whips will be placed 178' above ground on the tower for PageNet. Approved with the suggestion that the signs be maintained to look fresh. Scoops Ice Cream: New owners request the same sign. We agreed. Marrett Square: Belmont Savings is installing an ATM here on the left side of the tower entrance on the Antoine's Cleaners building, using a blue awing. We thought matching the blue of the Antoine s Cleaners sign would help in visual continuity. 32-42 Worthen Rd. Existing sibm is 22 sq. the proposed sign is 16 sq. the design having been approved by the UDC on 10-7-99 Location will remain the same.
