A parking island should be added within the expanse of parking for better pedestrian circulation. 1.11/U0/NO 10 4Z '{F01/ 004 21000 GKJA IQJ UUJ • DESIGN ADVISORY COMMITTEE Town of Lexington January 5, 1998 3. The pedestrian connection from the outer parking area to the building entry Is very circuitous; it seems a bridge connection spanning the wetlands would be more appropriate, and a more direct route for those parking in that area; if a bridge Is added, the outer walkway could be eliminated; however, the DAC understands this would need to be addressed and approved by the Conservation Commission. 4. The grass strip between the previously mentioned walkway and parking should be removed; it is a maintenance issue. 5. The vehicular entry needs to be better defined, and this can easily be done by formalizing the planting at this entry; however, it is not clear if this is to be considered an entry, of If it is the rear of the building. 6. The planting seems sporadically placed and often in unnecessary locations; the planting should be more formal especially closer to the building,:and its placement should typically have a purpose. • Annual f eport Review Cprnments ndjed and to be,incorporated into final draft. • Cary Library Meeting A meeting has been scheduled for December 17, 1997' the DAC is invited and someone should attend. w a> v c P l` u 6 N
